I believe that the one thing that causes most Internet Newbies to fail is… Getting Started!

We are all so hungry and curious in the beginning that we scavenge every new offer that comes along, looking for the next secret, the next new script, the next new 2.0 of something that will help us achieve our financial freedom, try to find the Internet Paradise.

We do this day-in and day-out, hour upon hour at our computer, eagerly opening up every mail we get and quickly clicking the link that will lead us to the next new download. Once we download it we go to the next mail and repeat the process. Alas we think: “I know the next one will be it!”

Ultimately at the end of the day, we find out that we don’t have a clue as to what we downloaded that day because we are not organized. I know what I am talking about. If you don’t believe me just do a search of all your folders for duplicates… and yes there they are, most of them still in zips, unopened in double or even triplicate.

Now it’s great getting all that stuff, although if you never do anything with it you have just thrown thousands of $$$ out the window. You might be thinking “But I didn’t pay for of it”. No you didn’t, but your time is worth something. Think about it.

Let’s just do a little equation here. You read time and time again about all these people and the “Gurus” (I personally hate that word) who are making $10,000 or $100,000 or even $1,000,000 online every month. And naturally you want to do the same.

So let’s say you were only doing mediocre at the least and were making, let us say $5,000 per month with your online business. Assuming you could achieve this working 2hours per day, six days per week (need to leave some time for the family you know) and that 4 weeks per month, what is your IM time worth?

2 x 6 x 4 = 48hrs per month Invested in your business
$ 5,000 per month earned
$5,000 divided by 48 = $104.16

That means your time is worth roughly $105 per hour.
Now calculate it by $10,000 per month… $20,000, $50,000, $100,000.

Get my drift?
If you are spending all your hours just downloading and saving stuff and then not being able to find it when you do decide to get started, you just made a big fat cash deposit into that little round bank account next to your desk. Think of how much you can be making, if you invested your time into things that will make you money and not just wasting your time. Start taking action and do something!

“Where should I start?”
Here are the two most important steps:

1. Slow down.
Take the time to really look at your downloads so you know what they are about.

2. Get organized
Create a file system so you know what you downloaded where

If you’re not sure where to start then I suggest you pick up a copy of Detlev Reimer’s book called “Revenue Blueprint“. On pages 87-95 explains in great detail how to get organized and manage your time. The Revenue Blueprint is not just some 12 page PLR report with some vague ideas, it is truly a Blueprint that takes you from A-Z on setting up your Internet business and you can get it for under $30. It will make you ten times that in saved time and frustration as well as increasing your online earnings. You can order it here: Revenue Blueprint.

I especially like the fact that he covers subjects like: Attitudes, Goal Setting, Business Models, On-line Business Strategies, Planning, Getting Organized, Systematizing Your Business and using the Promo Buddy software.

PromoBuddy has probably done the most for helping me get out of the download blues by getting everything organized and easy to find. And the best part about it is that it is free. Click here to get your free copy.

So I hope this gives you some food for thought about what you need to do first.
Take some of what you have, get organized and get started and we’ll see you in Internet Paradise.

Cheers, Smiles and Laughs,
Crazy J
